The Nigerian Police have arrested prominent human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi, just nearly 24 hours after he reported an alleged threat to his life. Farotimi, known for his outspoken criticism of President Bola Tinubu, was taken into custody following a defamation petition filed by Tony Elumelu, Chairman of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Group. Before his arrest, Farotimi also accused Chief Afe Babalola SAN of coming after him because of the contents of his recently published book titled: NIGERIA AND ITS CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM”.
