A video showing officials of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps popularly known as KAI, forcing the street traders to vacate the CMD/Magodo Road and also seizing their items has gone viral.
The clip released on Monday by the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, on his X account, saw KAI officials loading the seized goods in their truck.
“Let’s be fast, we are packing everything,” a voice ordered as some KAI officials hurriedly loaded the food items in their truck.”
The video has since stirred mixed reactions among many online. While some applauded the act, others knocked the officials, tagging their act as stealing.
Meanwhile, the seized items have been donated to the Remand Centre for juvelines and homes for the less privileged.
