The Federal High Court in Abuja has issued an interim order preventing the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) from proceeding with their scheduled strike, set to commence this Wednesday.
MDB reports that the order, granted by Justice O. Y. Anuwe, will remain in effect until the motion on notice is determined.
Justice Anuwe handed down the order on Monday, and further hearings on the matter have been adjourned until the 19th of June.
This ruling has temporarily halted the strike plans of the NLC and TUC pending the court’s final decision.
