“We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition.”
American hip-hop artiste Chance The Rapper and Kirsten Corley, his spouse, have announced their decision to divorce following five years of marriage.
The couple issued a joint statement via their social media accounts, announcing their decision to end their marriage.
The statement read: “After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways. We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the same time we spent together. God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together. We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition. Thank you.”
The rapper announced in 2015 that he and his girlfriend at the time had become parents to their first child. He mentioned that becoming a dad taught him to love more deeply.
Chance and Kirsten have been inseparable since childhood. They tied the knot in March 2019 and are now blessed with two adorable daughters, Kensli and Marli, aged 7 and 4, respectively.
His debut album “Big Day” was released in 2019, and it was inspired by their relationship. It served as his official debut album and reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. However, he hasn’t released any album since then.
