“My decision to resign is due to the unresolved political crisis in our dear state.”
Jacobson Nbina has resigned as the Rivers State commissioner for transportation and member of the state executive committee as the crisis continues to rock Governor Siminalayi Fubara-led administration.
Mr Nbina said his decision to resign was due to the volatile political situation in Rivers State which has led to lack of confidence in the current administration as the loyalists of Mr Fubara and former governor Nyesom Wike embark on continuous show of power.
“My decision to resign is due to the unresolved political crisis in our dear State leading to lack of trust and apathy,” Mr Nbina, who is a loyal to the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr Wike, said in the letter.
Mr Nbina joined another Mr Wike’s loyalist Inime Aguma, who served as the state’s commissioner for social welfare, as the latest commissioners to resign from their positions with the current Rivers state government on the same day.
