Mbappe is expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.
French star, Kylian Mbappe, has announced he would leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the current season following the expiration of his contract at the Parc des Princes after six years.
Announcing his departure in a social media video on Friday, the 25-year-old said, “hi everyone, “it’s Kylian Mbappe. I want to speak to you (PSG fans) as I said I would speak to you when the time comes. I want to announce that it is my last year at PSG.”
“I will not extend (contract) and the adventure will come to an end in a few weeks and I will play my last game at Parc des Princes on Sunday,” the World Cup winner added.
It is not hidden that Mbaple would leave PSG at the end of the season after the player refused to extend his contract with the club and turned down an offer to join Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal for a record €700m deal late last year as the club tried to avoid losing him for free.
“It is a lot of emotions for many years here, where I had the chance and the great honour to be a member of the biggest French club and one of the biggest in the world which allowed me to arrive here, to have my first experience in a club with a lot of pressure,” Mbappe said in the video.
During his time with PSG, he won six French Ligue 1 titles, three Coupe de France and three Trophee des Champions. He also led the club to the final of the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League but lost to Bayern Munich.
Mbappe is expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer when his contract officially ends with PSG. The Los Blancos are reportedly making preparations for the arrival of the sensational forward.
