This comes after MultiChoice announced ots inability to broadcast the tournament on DSTV and SuperSport last week.
The National Television Authority (NTA) has Secures rights to broadcast all 52 matches of the upcoming 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The station made this announcement on Wednesday, via their page on X.
The post reads “NTA signs memorandum of understanding with Afro sports for transmission of 52 matches of African cup of nations in Cote d’ivoire”
This comes after MultiChoice announced their inability to broadcast the tournament on DSTV and SuperSport, last week.
The 2023 AFCON kicks off with the Group A match between the host nation, Ivory Coast, and Guinea Bissau at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan on January 13, 2024.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles, placed in Group A alongside Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea Bissau, will open their campaign against Equatorial Guinea at the same venue on Sunday, January 14, at 3pm Nigerian time, as they aim for their fourth AFCON title.
